School, parents, and community working together to provide each student an appropriate learning experience in a positive, secure environment.
As a part of our county goal, we will be working together to ensure the success of our students with preparation for tomorrow and learning for a lifetime.
Riverbend Elementary School serves the Crabtree, Iron Duff, and Fines Creek area of Haywood County. The school was named for the bend in the Pigeon River located close to the school. This area of Haywood County is one of the most beautiful, desirable areas in the county. This wonderful new school, located one mile north of I-40, replaced two older schools which were in a declining state of repair. These communities have come together in this new location to establish one of the best schools in the area.
Riverbend is constantly changing!!
We recently received a $250,000.00 Technology Grant and have added digital projectors, document cameras, and laptops to every classroom.
PTO has worked hard to improve our playgrounds and new equipment was recently purchased and installed.
We have added 4 new classrooms to accommodate our continuously growing student population.
